Release notes: what’s new in Password Vault?

New product tiers: Password Vault grows with your business.

New

• Four product tiers based on the number of customer companies: Starter (10), Business (30), Professional (60) and Enterprise (unlimited).
• Effortless upgrades: Moving to a larger tier simply means entering the new licence key under Settings → Licence – no reinstallation, no data migration.
• The trial version (30 days free) matches the scope of the Starter tier.
• The booked product tier and its usage (“n of m customer companies”) are shown in the licence area.
• As always: when a limit is reached, all existing companies and data remain fully usable.

Convenience update: a better overview in large customer bases and flexible backups.

New

• Configurable backup schedule: Automatic backups daily, weekly (weekday selectable) or monthly (day of the month selectable), plus a configurable maximum number of retained backups with automatic rotation. Safety copies created before updates are not affected.
• Instant search in the customer and employee lists – results appear as you type.
• The version of the installed release is now visible in the settings.

Improved

• Clearer lists: clickable rows, subtle zebra striping and compact employee rows with an expandable detail area.

Fixed

• In individual cases the search did not filter reliably; the customer search now clearly refers to the company name.
• The fixed header of the customer list covered the first row.

Major expansion update: four languages, audit trail, hardening after a security audit.

New

• Four languages: The entire application and all e-mails are available in German, English, Spanish and French. The language of the administration interface and the language of e-mails to your customers can be set independently.
• Customer-related audit log: All events for a customer at a glance, with CSV export as evidence towards the customer – the export is protected by a two-factor confirmation.
• Account recovery: System administrators can securely reset employee and administration accounts; active sessions are terminated immediately.
• Update feature: Signed update packages can be installed directly in the settings; a backup is created automatically before every update. The update feature can update itself.
• The administration is notified as soon as an employee has finished setting up their account.

• Legal package: the operator’s legal-notice and privacy links, documented GDPR role allocation and confirmation of the terms of use during initial setup.

Security

• Findings of an internal security audit implemented, including stronger protection of the initial setup and of two-factor sign-in.
• Backup download, key export and backup deletion require a renewed two-factor confirmation (step-up).
• Licence keys are bound to the domain of the installation – using the same licence more than once is impossible.
• Security notice with every access reset: always verify the request in person or by phone.
